The See Me Beautiful Educational Conference is one of the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society's most cherished and longstanding events. Now in its 29th year, this pivotal annual gathering brings together parents, teachers, and educational assistants from across Manitoba to share strategies, build connections, and strengthen the support systems for students with Down syndrome.

See Me Beautiful is a full-day event featuring inspiring keynote speakers, interactive workshops, group work, and Q&A sessions - all designed to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for learning and growth.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, educational assistant, or other professional working with students with Down syndrome, this conference offers valuable insights, practical strategies, and the opportunity to connect with others who share your commitment to inclusive education.

Our Goal

At its heart, See Me Beautiful exists to ensure that every student with Down syndrome receives the best possible education and developmental opportunities. By bringing families and professionals together in a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect, we aim to enhance the support systems around these students and empower everyone in their corner.

Join us for a powerful day of advocacy, connection, and celebration within the Down syndrome community - designed for self-advocates, families, and educators. This year's theme - Right to Read - puts literacy at the centre. Together, we'll explore how to champion meaningful reading access, inclusion, and the joy of learning for every student.

Virtual Access: Can't join us in person? We're inviting parents and school teams from across the province to join us via Zoom webinar!

In-Person Attendance:

Professional Educator - $190
Educational Assistants: FREE
MDSS Member Rate: $40 (Covers food. If cost is a barrier, apply for a subsidy through our Bridge to Access program)
Non-Member Rate: $75
